- Štefan Bojnec
Dr. Štefan Bojnec is a full professor of Economics and Head of the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Management, University of Primorska. As a researcher and visiting professor, he was active at several institutes and universities in several countries in Europe, the USA and Asia. He has participated in several national and international research projects, including in several EU-Phare ACE projects, EU-COST projects, projects of the EU Framework Programme and Horizon. Furthermore, he has participated in several multilateral and bilateral projects with various countries.
He was also a member of several expert groups, such as at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the European Commission, the United Nations (UN), the World Bank, European Agency for Reconstruction, and the German Society for Technical Cooperation (GTZ/GIZ). In the years 1996-1997 he worked for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). He has published articles in leading scientific journals and in 2008, he received the Slovenian state Zois recognition for important scientific achievements in the field of economics.
The project Green, Digital & Inclusive University of Primorska (GDI UP) is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation and the European Union – NextGenerationEU. The project is implemented in accordance with the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) under the development area Smart, Sustainable and Inclusive Growth, component Strengthening competencies, in particular digital competencies and those required by the new professions and the green transition (C3 K5), for the investment measure Investment F. Implementation of pilot projects, the results of which will serve as a basis for the preparation of a roadmap for the reform of higher education for a green and resilient transition to a Society 5.0: project Pilot Projects for the Reform of Higher Education for a Green and Resilient Transition.
