UP has 6 faculties focusing on different areas. The most research-intensive staff is working in the fields of:

Computer Science (Data sciences, AI, Human-Computer Interaction),
Health Prevention and Sport Sciences,
Heritage,
Mathematics (Discrete Mathematics, Criptography),
Molecular Ecology and Conservation Biology,
Sustainable Built Environment (Wood Modification, Restorative Ergonomic Environmental Design),

while you may find active colleagues also in Agriculture, Education, Geography, Management and Finance, Tourism Studies.

Young Researchers

The aim of the instrument of young researchers is to educate and train new generations of researchers. Young researchers rejuvenate research groups at the UP and bring fresh ideas and approaches to the research space that contribute to the development of scientific research and innovation activity at the UP and beyond.

As a rule, young researchers carry out doctoral studies at the UP and are trained in the framework of the parent research programmes1 at the UP.

An open call is published each year in spring with a deadline in early summer.
