Research work in the field of health and health prevention is mostly aimed at solving the problems of today's public health issues, which have been stimulated by rapid technological development and the modern way of life. It is about the study of individual and community health topics. At the forefront of research are factors that represent a high risk for the development of many chronic non-communicable diseases and are a serious health and social problem in the developed world, as they reduce the quality of life, the inactivity of the active population and shorten life expectancy - UP is mainly focused on: physical inactivity, bad eating habits and other characteristics of an unhealthy behavioral style. Targeted measures for individuals and groups are also an important part of the research work. Namely, the design and analysis of the effectiveness of various interdisciplinary approaches for the holistic treatment of individuals, subpopulations and populations, as well as the preparation of strategic plans for the introduction of effective interventions in the field of nutrition, healthy lifestyle, management of chronic diseases, increasing the quality of life, etc. Important findings contribute to new knowledge and understanding of the development of chronic non-communicable diseases and identification of risk factors and strategic prevention plans in different age groups. Research enables the synergistic transfer of pre-clinical knowledge to improve the health status of the population in the region and beyond.
The aimed impact of these resesarches is the protection of the health of the population in different periods of life (children and adolescents, active population, the elderly), the development of science and professions in the field of dietetics, applied kinesiology, nursing, physiotherapy, and the unification of several scientific and professional disciplines (dietetics, nursing, kinesiology, natural sciences, medicine). Professional meetings and collaboration with media enhance awareness among the general population about healthy behavioral habits and the possibilities of preventing chronic non-communicable diseases in all age groups.
