Sustainable use of wood - renewable resources and sustainable built environment
Research in the field of sustainable wood use focuses on wood composites, thermohydromechanical wood processing and wood bonding, and restorative environmental design. In addition to the above, it focuses on research into environmental impacts, both new materials and products and technologies. By successfully combining their competences in the field of woodworking and the objective evaluation of environmental impacts, the contribution of the research group to science in the field of wood modification and the creation of a healthy living environment is recognized internationally.
In 2017, the Center of Excellence for research and innovation in the field of renewable materials was established, which interdisciplinary connects with other research groups at UP and internationally.
