UP researchers collaborate with prestigious foreign universities, with consequence in several scientific and professional publications. In 2022, 383 connections were established with foreign researchers that resulted in scientific articles indexed in the Web of Science database. These co-authors were affiliated at 167 universities ranked among the top 500 universities in the world according to the Shanghai ranking. Students at all levels of study are also involved in the preparation of scientific publications.

UP records constant growth of number of publications and their citation, especially in international indexed journals with citation indexes: Science Citation Index Expanded® (SCI-EXPANDED), Social Sciences Citation Index® (SSCI) and Arts & Humanities Citation Index® (A&HCI).
